Looking for Snow to Play in

I live in Irvine and am looking for some "snow" for my toddler to have some fun in. We're not interested in skiing or snowboarding...just some white stuff to make snowmen with, snowballs with and do some light sledding. I'd like to just park off the side of the road and go to town. Not sure about trespassing rules. Any ideas? Would the road to Mt. Baldy or Wrightwood be better? Big Bear is too far.

A few weeks ago, I had surgery to remove one of my healthy kidneys in order to donate that kidney to my husband Greg, whose kidney was failing, so that he would enjoy a more vital, healthy life.
